Temperature loggers and returnable equipment
The container, cool packs and logger supplied for a BIOCARD delivery are included in that service and must be returned. A purchased thermal container remains yours.
What comes with a delivery
SafePack container
BIOCARD selects the model for the cargo volume, required temperature, route, transit time and outside conditions.
Conditioned cool packs
The type, number and arrangement are prepared for the shipment. The sender places cargo in the inner liner without rearranging them.
Temperature logger
SmartSensor records temperature every minute automatically. It has no buttons to switch on and no display.
When you order a BIOCARD delivery using our returnable equipment, these items are included in the delivery cost; they do not need a separate rental order. The driver closes and seals the prepared container after the sender loads the cargo.
What happens after delivery
The thermal container, cool packs and logger supplied with the shipment must be returned to BIOCARD. We organise collection, transport back to the warehouse and acceptance, including checking and cleaning the equipment.
Keep the equipment until collection: do not discard the container, cool packs or logger. Ask your manager when and how collection will take place for your shipment.
A purchased container is different
If you buy a SafePack container outright, it is non-returnable packaging and becomes your property. If you also order cargo delivery in it, the container is handed over with the cargo. Documents for the container sale and cargo delivery are issued separately.
Containers and loggers are not rented separately from delivery. If you need your own equipment, discuss a purchase under section 22 of the General Terms. Prices are in the tariffs and equipment price section and catalogue; stock and handover timing are confirmed after a warehouse check.
Tell the manager the product, quantity and handover address. Payment, delivery and document conditions are confirmed for the order. See the current General Terms.
Can you add your own logger?
Yes. BIOCARD uses SafePack as its standard process, but the sender may add an additional logger at loading. Discuss any specific logger or reporting requirement with your manager in advance.
The SmartSensor battery is not removable. Replacement and recalibration are carried out by BIOCARD service. The logger's service life is at least two years. See specifications and support information.
Your temperature report
The SafePack report is a PDF in the client account, in the shipment card's Files tab, after it is attached to the order. Data is read by a nearby phone or hub over Bluetooth without opening the container. This is not continuous transmission or a guarantee of alerts throughout transit.
A separate certified temperature report is not a standard reporting document. Download the PDF for your quality records, audit or recipient. If it is missing, contact the manager with the shipment number. Read the report guide.
