BIOCARD DELIVERED THE CORONAVIRUS VACCINE TO ALL REGIONS OF RUSSIA

Today, "Biocard Logistics" has completed the delivery of the first batches of a vaccine against a new coronavirus infection to all regions of Russia. Since September of this year, a complete logistics chain for the vaccination process with a continuous «cold chain» has been deployed in the capital for the storage and transportation of the vaccine. It includes the storage and transportation of the drug, ensuring the correct storage conditions.

Storage and transportation of the Gam-COVID-Vac vaccine are performed at a temperature not higher than -18°C in the area protected from light. Biocard Logistics has successfully provided a continuous «cold chain» of the first batches of the vaccine at all stages of delivery. For more than three months, BIOCARD has been delivering the coronavirus vaccine to medical institutions using specialized vehicles and equipment of own production — Safepack isothermal insulated containers, freezer plates of phase-changeable materials, temperature recorders, and a mobile application. The smart sensor integrated into the insulated container made it possible to monitor the condition of the cargo and the temperature inside the insulated container online throughout the entire logistics chain. With the benefit of the elaborated infrastructure, the company successfully managed the volume of deliveries.

According to the results of November, the BIOCARD production site produced 1,500 units of SafePack insulated containers and 50,000 units of SafePack freezer plates of various models. To ensure the continuity of the technological chain, the volume of production of insulated containers and SafePack freezer plates was increased by 2 times. Currently, an additional production site with an area of 2,300 sq. m. has been launched for the production of insulated containers and freezer plates.

During the pandemic, we have gained a special experience of large-scale mobilization of the company's resources. All the processes were developed to the finest details. The trained staff and the available equipment made it possible to organize the delivery of vaccines properly, promptly, and to meet all demands.
