Medical equipment transportation

Careful transport of medical, laboratory and diagnostic equipment: load securing and rigging, temperature mode and upright position where required, cargo insurance, installation by arrangement.

37 years in the cold chain Pharma licence · GDP · ISO 30,000 m² warehouse
About SafePack thermal containers

Large, valuable and sensitive medical equipment cannot be shipped like ordinary cargo. One shock, tilt or spell of overheating on the road, and the instrument that arrives on site has to go back to the factory. BIOCARD handles medical equipment transportation with care and takes responsibility for the cargo: for the transport of medical devices and the shipping of laboratory equipment alike, we use our own vehicles and provide load securing and rigging, temperature and upright-position control where needed, cargo insurance and installation by arrangement.

Our team has 37 years in pharmaceutical logistics (since 1989) behind it and has handled the most complex and valuable cargo: clinical trial drugs, vaccines, biomaterials. We bring the same level of care to equipment — from a benchtop analyser to a hospital CT or MRI scanner. On a turnkey basis we try to do as much as possible ourselves, with our own warehouse, vehicles and people. Delivering health!

Medical and laboratory equipment we transport, and for whom

Diagnostic, laboratory and hospital equipment — for clinics, laboratories, distributors and manufacturers.

Diagnostic equipment

Ultrasound (US) scanners, X-ray, endoscopic and functional diagnostic equipment, components of computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanners. They are sensitive to shocks and vibration, so we transport them with cushioning and careful securing.

Laboratory equipment

Analysers, centrifuges, microscopes, polymerase chain reaction (PCR) cabinets, spectrometers. Precision optics and electronics — where possible in the original packaging, with protection from vibration.

Refrigeration and cryogenic equipment

Medical refrigerators, freezers, cryobanks. We transport them upright and, where necessary, maintain the temperature mode in transit.

Hospital and heavy equipment

Operating tables, dental units, sterilisers, furniture for medical facilities. Oversized and heavy items — we take care of the rigging and loading.

Reagents and consumables for equipment

Temperature-sensitive reagents, cartridges and calibrators that travel together with the instrument. We keep them at +2…+8 °C or +15…+25 °C in our SafePack thermal containers.

Who it is for

Clinics and medical centres, laboratories, medical equipment distributors, manufacturers and suppliers, and service engineers during installation and moves.

How we organise medical equipment transportation

A clear process: we assess the cargo, choose the vehicle and securing, transport it under control and hand it over in person.

1

Cargo assessment

We clarify dimensions, weight, fragility, temperature and position requirements, and whether the original packaging is available. For complex items we ask for the data sheet and the manufacturer's recommendations.

2

Choosing the vehicle and gear

We select a vehicle of the right payload from our own fleet and prepare straps, slings and cushioning; where needed, a refrigerated truck (reefer) or a SafePack thermal container for temperature-sensitive units.

3

Loading, securing, rigging

We load carefully, secure the cargo firmly and keep it upright wherever that is required. Oversized cargo is handled with rigging work and lifting equipment.

4

Transport under control

As a rule, we travel in our own vehicles with our own drivers. On request a SmartSensor logger goes into the cargo and records shocks, tilt, temperature, humidity and light all along the route. The data is read through our receivers in vehicles and at warehouses (or with a phone app); the sensor report (PDF) is kept in the request card in your personal account (Files tab) once it is attached to the order — so careful handling can be confirmed along the whole route.

5

Hand-over and installation

We unload and hand the cargo to the recipient with a condition check and documents. By arrangement, we also organise carrying the equipment into place, installation and connection by engineers.

Why BIOCARD

Experience with complex, valuable cargo

37 years in pharmaceutical logistics: clinical trial drugs, vaccines, biomaterials. Equipment is cargo that we treat with the same caution and responsibility.

Our own vehicles and drivers

We have our own fleet and trained drivers — as a rule, we do the hauling ourselves. We control the route, the speed and the care taken all along the way instead of shifting responsibility onto outsiders.

Careful handling as a standard

Load securing, rigging, cushioning, upright position and, where necessary, a temperature mode. An expensive instrument must arrive just as it left.

Our own SafePack thermal containers

If the equipment has temperature-sensitive units, reagents or consumables, we carry them in our containers, which hold the temperature without external power. When you order a delivery, we supply the containers with it and organise their return ourselves.

Sensors that document safe handling

On request we add a SmartSensor logger that records shocks, tilt, temperature, humidity and light (light shows whether the package was opened). The sensor report (PDF) is kept in the request card in your personal account (Files tab) once it is attached to the order — a document, not verbal assurances.

One point of contact and responsibility

Transport, securing, temperature, insurance and installation from one pair of hands. We try to cover the whole route ourselves and take responsibility for every item of cargo.

Frequently asked questions

Do you transport large and heavy medical equipment?

Yes. We choose a vehicle of the right payload from our own fleet and take care of the rigging and loading with lifting equipment. We clarify the dimensions and weight in advance so that the vehicle and the gear are ready for the specific device.

How do you protect medical devices from shocks and vibration during transport?

Where possible we ship the equipment in its original packaging, with cushioning, secure fastening with straps and slings, and careful loading and unloading. On request we add a SmartSensor logger that records shocks and temperature; any required orientation checks are agreed separately. The sensor report is available in the order’s Files tab once attached, providing a record of the measured conditions.

Can medical and laboratory equipment be shipped at a controlled temperature?

Yes. If the equipment, or its reagents and consumables, needs a temperature mode, we maintain it in transit — in a refrigerated truck or in our SafePack thermal containers at +2…+8 °C, +15…+25 °C, −20 °C and other modes. Sensor data shows whether the temperature mode was kept.

Does equipment have to be transported upright?

For refrigerators, cryogenic equipment and some instruments it is mandatory, and we comply: we secure the cargo in the required position and follow the manufacturer's requirements. Tell us about such restrictions in advance and we will prepare the securing accordingly.

Do you arrange cargo insurance and installation?

The cargo is insured for the whole route. Installation is by arrangement: we can organise carrying the equipment into place, installation and connection by engineers. We define the scope of such work in advance for your project.

We will transport your equipment with care and take responsibility for it

Tell us what needs to go where — we will choose the vehicle, securing and temperature mode, and calculate the cost and transit time. Our own vehicles, cargo insurance, installation by arrangement.

Get a quote and agree the next step

Send the origin and destination, cargo description, required temperature, piece count, actual weight and outer dimensions. You can ask a question or get an estimate before formal onboarding. The domestic delivery calculator uses the published Russian tariff; international routes, storage and special handling are quoted for the actual task.

Under the public transport offer, acceptance is signed through electronic document exchange before the first transport order. A registration link is then sent to the email in the acceptance, and orders are placed in the client account. If you have no electronic signature or need different contract terms, the manager agrees the contract route. Storage is arranged separately. How to start working with BIOCARD →

Equipment is selected for the cargo, route and conditions. The stated holding time of up to 96 hours applies to selected tested SafePack configurations; it is not a guarantee for every model, load or dry-ice shipment. The manager can provide the test report for the relevant model and range by email. Temperature reports in the client account are available once attached to the order.
